Our Area Director for Europe, Jerry Coleman, spent the weekend in Arad with us. Jerry tries to visit each of our mission’s ministry sites in Europe (in 10 countries now!) at least once a year. We were very happy to have him visit. Just wanted to write a brief note and share a few pics. We hosted a New Year’s party for the youth of Emmanuel Christian Centre. They came at 6pm and left at 6am! It was great…food, [...] Recently our Emmanuel church leaders decided to begin focusing on developing cell groups as our primary method for discipleship and evangelism. Paula and I have been leading a bi-lingual cell group for over a year now, and the leaders of our youth have been moving their meetings more towards the cell group format as [...] Ahh, the day after Christmas (“Boxing Day” as our British friends call it)…unlike the busyness of post-Christmas shopping in the USA, it’s a fairly quiet day in Romania. Some of the Oaza teens are spending the afternoon at our house, baking in the kitchen (homemade stromboli for dinner…Yum!) and playing video games. We celebrated Christmas Day [...] Paula and I continue to lead a cell group that is connected to our local church here, Emmanuel Christian Center. Right now it consists of three Romanian families, two American families, and one single American. All of our discussion is bi-lingual.
